We began working with 2getheraudio soon after its founding. The founders envisioned a music production software company that would bring musicians together and support charitable causes by donating a portion of every purchase to a customer-chosen organization.

Our first task was to design the logo, aiming to communicate the idea of coming together in both static and animated formats. We began by sketching as many concepts as possible, then refined our top picks on tracing paper. After scanning these sketches, we vectorized the strongest options and assigned each a distinct color palette before presenting them for review.

The chosen logo effectively conveys “togetherness” in several ways: 1) two arrows forming the “2,” 2) the tails of the “2” and “g” aligning as if in greeting, and 3) the words “audio” and “2gether” fitting together like puzzle pieces, with the “d” in “audio” neatly interlocking with the “h” in “2gether.”

After polishing this logo in Adobe Illustrator, we began expanding the brand identity. Given 2getheraudio’s focus on empowering creative musicians and letting them direct a portion of their purchase to charity, we identified the Creator archetype as the perfect fit for the brand.

To reflect this archetype, we built an expanded color palette of bright, vibrant hues and provided a set of patterns designed for creative usage. We chose an approachable geometric font to emphasize a sense of unity among musicians and people worldwide.

We also established clear guidelines for logo usage and conceptualized product designs. In addition, we developed a series of icons that could be used for web or software applications and remain legible at small sizes. Over four years, we continually updated and expanded the brand guide to a comprehensive 21-page document.
